One of my favorite fashion moments is the entire S/S 12 collection put forth by Peter Pilotto. I’m naturally drawn to color but the sheer vibrancy of the prints and the sharp tailoring really stood out. The dress below is my stand-out for its beautiful blue color – look at those clouds - and the modern cut but sadly my budget doesn’t cover runway designs (and to be fair, I’m not sure I have any occasion to wear a dress like this but nevermind!)

Luckily, the High Street will be full of prints and I’ve already found a U.S. website (which will ship overseas) that features amazing fabrics and silhouettes called Boxing Kitten Boxing Kitten » Profile Although their inspiration is mid-century fashion, the prints have a very modern flair. As the website notes, the textiles used are Ankara fabrics, hailing from Western African countries, which give the clothes a unique touch. I especially like the color “clashing” which is big this season as well. Finally, proving that it is a small world indeed, I also discovered that the owner Maya A. Lake is a fellow Wesleyan University graduate so I’m very happy to promote the label
