The midi skirt was one of the biggest S/S12 trends but along the way a micro-trend was born, namely pleats. Of all the High Street stores, Whistles has promoted this style for the longest with its much copied “Carrie” skirt. In fact, their new season version features a beautiful flowery print that will look great with a simple white t-shirt. Other labels such as Topshop and Warehouse have produced their own styles too so you can experiment with color-blocking, metallics, and/or tribal prints without spending a fortune.
