Despite the persistent winter chill, I’m dreaming of pastels! Featured on almost every runway, this isn’t the easiest of trends especially if you don’t want to look like a 5-year old girl (my daughter could live in pink 24/7). The key is to choose one stand-out piece with a simple cut, like the vintage yellow dress I scored at a second-hand shop (photo below), and mix with something edgier perhaps with leather or spikes. Otherwise, if you’re truly risk averse, wearing a pastel accessory like the Kate Spade purse or Carvela shoes featured here is an easy way to update your look. My inspiration?
