I just finished reading Harper’s Bazaar (UK) magazine in which there was a feature called “The List”, otherwise known as the month’s most desirable items. Included were a pair of $740 Celine wedges, a $3,150 Louis Vuitton tote, and a $700 (!) pair of basic black Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci sandals. All perfectly lovely but sometimes you just want a pretty sundress for summer without having to take out a mortgage! That’s where online retailer ModCloth (http://www.modcloth.com/) comes in. This amazing site features retro and vintage clothing and accessories by independent designers at reasonable prices. Best of all, they are completely plugged into the consumer via social networking sites and their own “Be the Buyer” option making the buying experience a pleasant (and even democratic) one. Here are my current favorites dresses – the peplum one is an absolute steal at under $50!
