A jacket-style cardigan is the perfect remedy for unseasonably cool weather (or over-zealous air conditioning) as it’s versatile enough to throw over anything from jeans and a tee to shift dresses. The key is to find one with a structured silhouette which will make it the hardest working piece in your wardrobe. I’ve invested in the Comptoir des Cotonniers version below as the heavier knit suits London’s chillier Spring climate; however, there are lighter options available in several price ranges from Etoile Isabel Marant, J. Crew and Topshop.

Happy Feet
It’s another cold, grey day in London so what better way to inject some cheer than with these brightly colored flats from LK Bennett. With 5 different shades to choose from – turquoise, fuschia fluorescent, lemon fluorescent, orange and coral – the “Ivana” is a perfect way to partake in the color clashing trend so big right now. Personally, I’m favoring the turquoise pair to wear with my J. Crew pink boyfriend sweater and jeans for a casual vibe. What’s your favorite color?
Available online at lkbennett.com or in stores for £150 each.
Song of the Day: Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold
Given A7X’s recent announcement that a new album (and tour) will be forthcoming, I’ve decided to post the video for one of my favorite songs “Bat Country”, the third single from City of Angels. An ode to Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, the video has everything including a killer guitar solo, casinos, and of course, bats. I’ve always liked that the band didn’t stick to one particular genre of hard rock but rather made songs with complex harmonies and meaningful lyrics. Can’t wait for their new release!
