Designer Spotlight: Charlotte Taylor
I first became aware of Charlotte Taylor through Young British Designers (http://www.youngbritishdesigners.co.uk), a site that highlights up and coming design talent. Her whimsical prints and bold use of color immediately caught my eye so I was thrilled to hear of her collaboration with Anthropologie. While dresses from her main collection start at £370, this high street capsule line is priced more reasonably and is in keeping with her current vision of Japanese art, fishing and beekeeping (never thought those would go together but she’s the designer!). Normally, I wouldn’t recommend any item of clothing with a donkey print but this adorable shift dress below has changed my mind. If donkies aren’t your thing, check out the angular grasshopper prints which lend a slightly retro feel to otherwise basic silhouettes. In fact, I actually had to look at the items carefully to notice the grasshoppers as the design is quite geometrical in look.

Stylish rainy days: Wednesday
As predicted, the weather has gone all gloomy again so I’m back with another post on brightening up a rainy day. Since it’s not too cold, I went for a maxiskirt / sweater combination topped off with a light satin bomber. Although I would’ve loved wearing wedges, my practical nature, and some rugged boots, won out!
Asos jacket, Missoni for Target skirt, LK Bennett sweater, Asos boots, Cambridge Satchel Company handbag, and vintage necklace.
