A walk through Chelsea

The sun has finally reappeared in London after the wettest April in recent memory so to take advantage of this respite, I took a scenic tour of Chelsea Embankment. Before heading towards the Thames though, I discovered St. Luke’s parish church on Sydney Road (off King’s Road) which was Charles Dickens’ wedding venue in 1836. Another interesting fact is that at 60 ft, the nave is the tallest of any parish church in London (according to their website at least!)  For me, the beautiful stained glass, pictured below, was well worth the visit alone.
